History
The roots of Tri-State Dental stretch back to 1969, and one man's vision of the American Dream. It was in that year that Domenico Clavelli brought his family to the United States from Italy to give his children a chance at a better life. It was an opportunity Domenico's son, Tri-State CEO Vito Clavelli, would make the most of.

At the age of 17, Vito responded to a "Help Wanted" ad placed by Jack Marsh Dental, the first step toward the realization of his father's dream. Vito's work ethic and innate knack for business quickly elevated him from the warehouse to the front office, where he served as customer service supervisor for six years.

Vito had come a long way, but still aspired to do more. So, in 1984, he left Jack Marsh to start his own business, one he ran out of the basement of a Jersey City apartment building with one employee, a desk and a few shelves of dental supplies. With hard work and perseverance, that company has grown to become Tri-State Dental Supply, Inc., a multi-million dollar corporation that employs more than two dozen people.
